bethany + barrett

ohhhh, the joy of film has really gone off the charts. when i got the images for bethany and barrett back, it was hard to believe that i took them because these two exude a charm that tells a magnificent story.

it was the most beautiful day in central park; the light was soft that morning. these two barely needed direction. i'll let these pictures speak for themselves. no commentary is necessary. be patient--you'll see.

to my dear friends, thanks for being open and so welcoming. it was so fun photographing you two and i'll be sure to visit stanford ;)

diamonds in the rough

it's monday yet again. and it's....june? where has time gone? at least mondays come with monday musings...right? ;)

i've been looking through my photo collections and making note of ones i want to turn into blog posts. as i collect all of them, i realize how some of them are a wee bit fuzzy. i love this fuzziness though--it gives moments a realness (that a word?) to them and a better "behind-the-scenes" feel that i always strive to capture when i pick up my camera. pictures like these always take me back to when my adrenaline rushes when i know a moment is happening and i scramble to get my camera in focus.

here's an "outtake" but really, one of my favorites from an engagement session i did a month and a half ago. it's a real beauty.
