it was a 4:15 am type of saturday--super casual (read: sarcasm).

since it was my first year living in dc, i thought it would be well-worth the trek into the city to watch the sunrise during peak bloom. i can't believe it's practically a month since this day; time surely has flashed by.

everyone was already at the tidal basin by the time my group and i got there, with their tripods, external flashes, and huge camera bags in tow.

the image right above here is my first attempt at double exposure (huzzah!!) and i'm definitely still working on perfecting it. still, this image in itself is pretty cool and i'm strangely proud of it.
